    Idoso mantido em cárcere privado pelos próprios filhos não resiste aos maus-tratos e morre em Abaetetuba

    Um idoso de 83 anos, mantido em cárcere privado pelos próprios filhos, não resistiu aos maus-tratos e morreu na segunda-feira (21), em Abaetetuba, nordeste do Pará. Ele e a esposa foram resgatados após denúncia. O idoso foi encontrado com quadro de grave desnutrição e ferimentos pelo corpo.

    De acordo com a Polícia Civil, os filhos do casal de idosos, no momento do flagrante de maus-tratos, no último dia 18, foram presos por lesão corporal gravíssima e cárcere privado. Com a morte do pai, a investigação muda para homicídio.

    “Ambos serão indiciados por homicídio, uma vez que tinham a obrigação legal de, na qualidade de filhos, garantir o bem-estar e integridade dos genitores. O Ministério Público recorreu da decisão judicial que concedeu liberdade mediante fiança aos criminosos”, explica a delegada Renata Gurgel.

    Entenda o caso

    Um casal de idosos foi encontrado trancado em casa. O flagrante ocorreu na última sexta-feira (18), quando policiais da Diretoria de Polícia do Interior (DPI) foram apurar a denúncia de cárcere de privado e maus-tratos contra idoso.

    Ao chegarem na casa, que fica no bairro Santa Rosa, os policiais encontraram o idoso de 83 anos deitado em uma cama, em estado de inanição e com vários ferimentos pelo corpo.

    O Corpo de Bombeiros e o Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) foram acionados. O idoso foi então levado a um hospital, onde foi internado para tratar quadro grave de desnutrição aguda.
