O WhatsApp pensou numa forma para deixar o app mais organizado: filtros. O recurso é capaz de organizar melhor a tela de chats para contas comuns. O objetivo é disponibilizar a separação de conversas em categorias para deixar mais prático na hora de responder as mensagens, principalmente quando as caixas de entrada estão lotadas de grupos, mensagens diretas e chats não lidos.
A função pode ser utilizada na versão beta do WhatsApp Desktop e está em desenvolvimento para as outras plataformas, de acordo com o site WABetaInfo, que descobriu a novidade.PUBLICIDADE
Segundo visto nos prints divulgados, os filtros podem separar conversas não lidas, mensagens de contatos, de números desconhecidos e grupos. Diferente do recurso que existe no WhatsApp Business, as novas categorias estariam disponíveis na tela principal de chats, sem precisar criar uma pesquisa.

Neste momento, a nova ferramenta está disponível no WhatsApp para Windows (UWP), em uma distribuição experimental, também com os filtros disponíveis já na tela inicial. A função está em fase de desenvolvimento e nem todos os testadores tem acesso.
A meta é que o WhatsApp implemente o recurso na versão mobile (Android e iOS) antes de lançar para o público geral, sendo assim, é possível que o lançamento ainda demore.
